NOTES: Episodes are listed in approximate order of production. This information was based on production numbers and completion dates in the Library of Congress
online copyright database. This differs greatly from the original running order on USA Network as well as the current running order on the Sci-Fi Channel. The original 13 episodes were run almost backward!
Later in the run, shows were "shelved" (such as Old House of Mayan) for months while others were aired ahead of 10 or more episodes already "in the can". This presented a number of
continuity problems.

Writer: Joseph Stefano Director: Fritz Kiersch Note: This episode was clearly the second episode filmed. It begins with the funeral for Tressa's mother. Also, Arcane talks to Tressa and says he
hopes they can get to know each other better. This actually aired near the end of the first season. It is likely that USA chose to air some of the better episodes first to help build the audience for the
series.

Writer: Lorenzo Domenico Director: Yuri Sivo

11 The Death Of Dr. Arcane Jim is kidnapped by Arcane's thugs. Arcane is killed by one of his

Writer: Judith Berg, Sandrea Berg, Joseph Stefano Director: John McPherson guests: Pat Cherryas Coroner, George Colangelo as Coroner's assistant, Darren Dollar as a deputy, Andrew Clark as a thug. Note:
This is the first appearance of Kevin Quigley as Graham. In this episode he is billed as a thug. Though one of the final episodes filmed during the first season, this show was rushed to air within weeks of
completion. USA may have felt this to be a stronger episode and preferred the focus on Dr. Arcane.

bio-restioative formula for Arcane. Arcane tests the formula on Linda. This also features flashbacks to the origin of Swamp Thing.

captured. Jim's brother Will arrives to help find Jim and quickly discovers Swamp Thing. Swamp Thing trashes Arcane's lab. The sheriff stages an accident to make everyone think Jim is dead while Arcane ships
him out with the mutants.
Writers: Judith & Sandra Berg, Joseph Stefano Director: Walter von Huene Guests: Janis Benson as Mrs. Blake, Roger Floyd as Hitchhiker Note: The Hitchhiker at the beginning
of the episode may have been a parody of the series The Hitchhiker, which was also seen on the USA network, on the same evening. This episode served as a transition point for the series to go in a new
direction.
