Roland Cormier's Phaser I

These are some photos of my Phaser 1. I quickly assembled and painted this and it has a few minor flaws (the red LED should be blue but I did not have any at this time, will have to purchase some!)

Many months of research went into the construction of this piece as my goal was to, as much as possible, create an accurate (dimensional and visual) Phaser 1. Painstaking care went into the research, from books, photos of actual props, and the most important, video clips. The measurements were taken from The Making Of Star Trek.   This was difficult as there are many shadows in the photos but general measurements can still be taken.  I also wanted this prop to be able to be disassembled in order to install sound and lighting and have the same cosmetic appeal internaly as it has externaly.   After creating the master, a mold was created for each individual part allowing for the creation of multiple parts.
