Ray Au's Cylon Basestar

Here are some pictures of my Cylon Base Star.   The assembly was pretty easy except for some joint problems around the  edges.  A bit of putty and some sanding took care of the problem.

.

The base star was painted neutral grey with other camoflage grey and a few other tones to add some details.  The whole ship was then given a wash of Heavenly Hues, an acrylic wash.

Just apply and wipe off.  The paint gets into the nooks and crannies while all of the raised details are cleaned when you wipe.  I like the effect as it brings out a lot of details on a ship of primarily just one color.
