Ken Meekins' Kirk

This is my model of the 1994 AMT vinyl kit of Capt. James T. Kirk. This is my first vinyl kit and a learning experience it was. The base was filled with plaster of paris for weight. The instructions said to make the pants black semi-gloss and the boots black high gloss. What I did instead was make the pants flat black and the boots semi-gloss black. It looked a little more realistic to me. The shirt is just plain old flat yellow. For the flesh I used Tamiya XF-15 Flat Flesh. The most realistic flesh tones I have ever used.
