The uprated Klingon D-7 Battle Cruiser from Star Trek:The Motion Picture is built straight from the box, no modifications, no
lighting, no nothing.
The head needed plenty of putty and sandpaper to get it to come out as smooth as it did, but the finshed look is well worth the effort.
The ship was entirely hand
painted - the only spray can involved was the final flat lacquer coat.
The orange nose and large Klingon insignias were hand painted after tracing the decal
shapes onto the kit. Smaller insignia and Klingon writing are the actual decals.
