John Zizolfo's Enterprise Bridge part 3

Base outline - The final layout and positioning of the bridge and hull on the base, which measures 24"x24".  The radial lines between the bridge and the hull outline define the "extended" edges of each bridge station.  While there will be no physical parts here, it makes it easier to decide where to put  holes for wires and fibers for lighting which, for the most part, will be contained below.  Red lines indicate horizontal and vertical centers of the base itself, green lines show where the bridge ring centers on the base.

Base bridge - The base with the bridge in place.  This shot was taken before I darkened the outlines in the previous shot.

Base hull - The bridge dome in place over the bridge.  The dome itself is 19" diameter and about 4" high.  The opening on top of the dome is a rough opening right now.  That will be cleaned up later.  The exterior turbolift tube is the original brace I made to build the actual turbolift.  I'm still deciding whether to use the brace as the final external piece or to make something with a bit larger diameter.

Base profile - A side shot of the hull and exterior turbolift tube.  The ceiling dome will ultimately stand about an additional inch to inch and a half high.  The base itself is 6 inches tall (not completely visible here.)

Here's a single pic update of The Ultimate Bridge.  What we have here is a closeup of the helm/navigation console with all the necessary fiber optics holes drilled.  I previously had a coat of black paint on the console, but most of it was sanded and scraped off to add much of the white sheet plastic added here.  All told, the console will have over 100 fibers in it, as well as a clear red LED that I've sanded down into a pyramid shape for the red alert beacon and a yellow LED lighting the astrogator from below.

and thats it until we hear more from John!
