Return to CultTVman's Fantastic Modeling Return to Modeling Star Trek

BuildEnterprise
Daniel Bram's Enterprise D

This was the first Star-Trek model I ever built. When I decided to become serious about my hobby I took it apart and had a little "refit".

First, I added lighting to the nacelles and deflector dish. Using grain of wheat light bulbs. The electricity enters the model Via a earphone jack located on the base. This allows easy disconnection and allows lighting apart from the base by the use of an ordinary audio extention cord!

At the time I didn't have the patience to drill all the windows, so I painted the illumanated ons with Glow-in-the-dark paint (not seen very well in these pictures). and the rest of the windows were painted with a black gel pen.
