The Animal Pit and the Dungen were scheduled to be the next kits in the Aurora Monster Scenes series at the time the models were discontinued.   Pictured here are ther very rare original paintings for the two models.  The molds, prototypes, box art--everything--was finished and ready for production before the plug was pulled.

From what I understand, Monogram may still own these molds, or at least parts of the molds. More images related to these "Lost Kits" can be seen on
Dean Milano's site,

The artworks shown here are 17x20" on canvas art board and painted in  acrylic.  Bright, vibrant colors and nice detail.  This scene can also be seen on the side panels of the Canadian-issued Monster Scenes of Dracula, Dr. Jekyll, and the Giant Insect kits.   These images apper courtesy of
Toy Scouts
